Welcome to Chacewater Players
We are an amateur dramatics group founded in 1978, the group is run completely by volunteers, and all profits from the shows we perform are put towards the future of the group and improving our stage set up. New volunteers are always very welcome, particularly back stage, so please do speak to a member of the committee or send us an email (info@chacewaterplayers.co.uk) if you can help in any way. We are a group for adults and children from 8 years old up. We currently produce two shows each year, our fun filled pantomime in January and a summer show in June or July.

Rehearsals: see below
We run two separate rehearsal sessions, one for children and one for teens and adults. Our children’s cast is aimed at those from age 8 to 12 and rehearsals are from 6pm – 7.30pm. Once your child moves up to year 8 in secondary school they will become part of our teen cast and attend our adult rehearsals which run from 7.30pm – 10pm, however teens are welcome to be picked up from 9pm.
Rehearsals dates and times are shown on the attached sheet. Attendance at rehearsals is important to the quality of the final show, so if for some reason you cannot attend, please contact a member of the committee to let us know. If you are going to miss a rehearsal in the future, please give us as much notice as possible.
Costumes:
Costumes for the pantomime will be predominantly provided by us, however we do ask that you provide you/your child with appropriate footwear, socks/underwear. Once the cast has been announced and costumes allocated, we will ensure that you are given a list of all items that will need to be provided. Minimal make up will be used for the shows, but should you have any concerns on this, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the committee.
Communication:
We have WhatsApp groups for communication with members, so please make sure you join these, so you do not miss information. Should you have any issues accessing these groups, please let a member of the committee know. Please also join the open Chacewater Players Facebook and Instagram page and help us promote the show by sharing the posts.
Inclusivity:
As a group we are committed to being as inclusive as possible and recognise that some individuals require reasonable adjustments. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make it easier for you or your child to participate.
Subscription:
There is a subscription charged for belonging to the group for the shows, which covers the cost of refreshment at rehearsals, scripts, hall hire and insurance for the pantomime only, a small additional cost will be incurred for the summer show, if you choose to take part.

We would ask you to please complete the form given out at rehearsal and make the required payment on or before Monday 27th October 2025, we accept payment by BACS (see letter for bank details) or we will be able to take card payments at the beginning of rehearsals.
